Privacy

I believe apps should be available to everyone and should keep their users' data safe above all else. This site is built the same way.

What this site does not do

What happens when you visit

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles each request, which includes your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. It uses this to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. I only look at aggregate totals in the Cloudflare dashboard, such as visits per day and visitors by country, and never try to identify individual visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles that data.

Who is responsible

trough.dev is run by David McPhearson, who is responsible for the data described here (the data controller under the GDPR). Contact: privacy@trough.dev.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to how it is used. Email privacy@trough.dev. I hold nothing that identifies you, so there may be nothing to return, but I will answer every request. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

The site doesn't track you, so it behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.

The apps

This policy covers trough.dev itself. Each app has its own privacy policy, either on its page here or on its own site, describing exactly what it collects and where it goes.

Every app follows the same principle: collect only what is needed for it to work. A free app usually needs nothing. A paid app may need what it takes to accept payment and deliver the app, and nothing more. Your data is never sold, and it is never used for advertising or tracking.
