A terminal session manager for Claude Code on the Mac. When you have a dozen or more Claude sessions running, Agent Roost shows them all in one table and lets you open, pin, stop, revive or delete them.

Features
- Sessions. Every Claude Code session in one table: what each is doing, when you last used it, how much context it holds, and whether it's open in a window, pinned, or about to be closed for being idle. Tabs for running, recently closed, closed and stale sessions.
- Actions. Open a session in a new window, pin or unpin it, rename it, stop it, revive a closed one, move it to another project or delete it. Deleted history goes to the Trash.
- Projects. Project folders with a status, category, tags and the sessions running in each.
- Handoffs. Write a session's handoff from its transcript, so the next session picks up where the last one stopped.
- Notes. Notes and recaps kept as files on your Mac, read beside the list.
- Stats. Spend at list price by day, session and project, with a monthly limit.
- Not an orchestrator. Agent Roost never sends work to a session on its own.
Install
Requires macOS, Python 3.9 or later (the system one is fine) and Claude Code with background sessions.
brew install dmcphearson/tap/roost
roost setup
roost setup checks the prerequisites, picks your terminal and Projects folder, and installs the Claude Code plugin. Other install options are in the README.
Privacy
Agent Roost has no accounts, analytics or telemetry. It runs on your Mac and reads Claude Code's session data there. Nothing is sent to me.
- Once a day it asks GitHub for the latest release, and updates download from GitHub.
- The Stats tab reads Anthropic's public pricing page at most once a day.
- Handoffs are written by your own
claudecommand under your Claude account, and pull request states are read with your ownghcommand.
