Common questions
- How do I change which unit comes first? In Settings, choose Celsius or Fahrenheit to lead. The other is always shown beside it.
- The forecast looks different from another app. duoTemp can use MET Norway or Apple Weather, and they don't always agree. Switch the forecast source in Settings to compare.
- My current location is missing or wrong. Check that location access is allowed for duoTemp in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security, Location Services. Saved places work without it.
- Why don't I see the northern lights card? It only appears where the aurora is realistically visible: far enough north or south, or a little closer to the equator when a geomagnetic storm is forecast in the next 24 hours. When every night's chance is under 50% it collapses to a single line you can tap to open.
- A widget isn't updating. iOS decides how often widgets refresh, so a widget can lag the app by a little while. Opening duoTemp refreshes the forecast it shares with its widgets.
- Can I turn off the animated skies? Yes. In Settings, show them everywhere, on the location screen only, or not at all.
- What does duoTemp do with my data? See the privacy policy. In short, coordinates are rounded to about 1 km, and everything else stays on your iPhone.
